Calcium Nitrate
Calcium nitrate, also called Norgessalpeter (Norwegian saltpeter), is the inorganic compound with the formula Ca(NO3)2. This colorless salt absorbs moisture from the air and is commonly found as a tetrahydrate. One of our flagship products, “Diamond” brand Calcium Nitrate (Ca(NO3)2.4H2O) has served an exclusive clientele, both international and domestic, for over 2 decades now.
Calcium Nitrate finds application in many industries, ranging from fertilizer manufacture to commercial explosives manufacture. Some of the interesting applications are listed below.
1) Latex Gloves Manufacture :-
Calcium Nitrate (coagulant grade) is used in the latex gloves manufacturing business as a coagulant. It is specially treated with activated carbon to remove all organic chemicals. This ensures lower rejection of gloves, lesser production of second-quality gloves, long-term stable color and long-term non hardening. We are proud to claim that we serve all latex gloves manufacturers in India without exception, apart from exporting to Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and a host of other countries.
2) Use in Fertilizer
The fertilizer grade of Calcium Nitrate, Calcium Ammonium Nitrate (commonly known as CAN) is popular in the greenhouse and hydroponics trades; it contains ammonium nitrate and water, as the "double salt" (5Ca(NO3)2.NH4NO3.10H2O). We plan to begin its production soon.
3) Other Applications
“Diamond” brand Calcium Nitrate is frequently used in sewage treatment and in the manufacture of commercial explosives and Coco-Peat. We also manufacture high purity ACS grade Calcium Nitrate for food grade, biotechnology and laboratory applications.
